Hello, I am sorry to hear you are worried about your dog. I am a veterinarian and will do my best to help. If a leg is weak, but not from pain, it could be from a neurologic problem. The nerve from the spinal cord to that leg could be affected by a bulging disc, or some other spinal cord problem. If I could, I would start by doing a good physical exam, and especially checking the nervous system and reflexes. If this is a neurologic problem, the treatment would depend on what exactly is found, but could include steroids, or nonsteroid anti inflammatory medication, muscle relaxants, and sometimes pain medication. How long has she had this problem? What other questions do you have?
