Goldfish has growth with white thing growing on it

Customer Question

My goldfish has started growing what looks like a redish bump with a white thing growing out of it. He swims around fine, eats well, eliminates normally. In other words, he does not seem sick, but has this growth on the right sode of his abdomen.
I change the water regularly and the levels of amonia, nitrate, and nitrate are in normal range. PH is just above 7.
I can provide a picture if it helps, but it is hard to photograph a moving fish

Any idea of what this might be or how to treat it?
