My miniature pinscher is less than year. He goes outside regularly. He plays in the grass & woodchips. He also likes to lie under a big pine tree.

Those spots are likely to be epidermal collarettes - skin lesions most indicative of a superficial spreading pyoderma - a Staph infection, usually.
