Hello,
I am sorry to hear about Lilly. I am a veterinarian, and will do my best to help.
It is hard to keep a brace on a dog's back leg. The hind leg is shaped like an ice cream cone, wide at the tip and narrower as you go down, so many braces and bandages tend to just slip down or fall off.
