Thanks for the pictures. Did the antibiotics help at all?
Are these patches itchy to him at all?

The anti biopics had no effect. He is not in any apparent distress

No effect from antibiotics. He is in no distress

Thanks for the additional information.
If these spots are not itchy, then it is probably not an allergic reaction, or parasites.
If you really want to know what these are, a skin biopsy would be the best way. We use an instrument like a tiny cookie cutter to get a couple of plugs of skin to be analyzed under a microscope. That would tell us if there are no hair follicles in these spots, or if there is a pigmentation problem.
As the hair starts to grow back when you did this before, what happened to the spots? Did they start to grow hair, or did they go away?
It is a little blurry; is there hair growing in these spots at all or are they totally bald? Can you take a picture of one or two of the spots up close?

There is hair there. Is appears to be the underlying skin that looks strange
Expert:  Rebecca replied 1 year ago.
If the skin is growing hair, that is a good sign it is normal skin, with normal hair follicles.
Is the only thing about the skin that looks strange the pale color? That actually could be normal pigmentation (or lack of it). I sure would like to be able to examine a few spots up close.
