Welcome to the chat!! I am Dr. Altman, a licensed veterinarian and happy to answer your questions today.
How large was the pit approximately?
I'm not sure. medium to large size
Most of these types of pits very likely the stomach acids are going to break down the pit and it won't be an issue with a dog Tucker's size
I would recommend giving a couple of pieces of bread and repeating in a few hours
Nice long walks tomorrow to ensure that the gi tract is moving along and monitoring for the pit to come out the other end within 24-48 hours
next time i cut up peaches, he is going in his crate! OK, what will the bread do?
If there is any vomiting it is time to have a veterinary exam to ensure the pit is not causing an obstruction
The bread helps bulk up the pit and push it through the gi tract
Yes, they sure can be fast when they want to!
ok, that makes me feel better. We will give him the bread and watch him. Thanks!
You are very welcome
