Hello,

I hope I can help with your question and do message me if you have any queries regarding my answer/advice.

This is a tricky question to answer as it depends on the dogs hydration status and water consumption both of which affect the amount of urine that is produced and as such the frequency of urination.

I would be concerned if a dog hadn't produced urine in 18-24 hours especially if it was accompanied by the dog not exhibiting normal behaviour. So if Jenny is uncomfortable, unwell, quiet, lethargic or straining to urinate then I would definitely get her checked over.

If she is bright and alert and happy and drinking and eating normally then see how she goes, but if she goes a full day without passing anything then get her checked over.

I hope this makes sense and let me know if you have any queries

Regards

Dan Makin

Hi Shirley,

I'm just following up on our conversation about Jenny. How is everything going?
