Sorry to bug again. I am worrying a little bit more about what I have written off as sad or depressed dogs after some major changes and instabilities in their living situation. Wondering if this has been a part of something else that has now led to not eating. With regard to a possiblle viral disease is there anything else that I can do/ look for to figure if that is a possibility? Maybe a stupid question, just very uncertain about the ability to pay vet bills, especially for 3 dogs :-(

Hello and welcome to Just Answer.. My name is XX. XXXX. X am a licensed veterinarian and will be happy to help you today..
there is PCR testing that can be done for the viral diseases- it usually requires a swab fromt he back of their throat - I would test the one that seems the most off..
Changes in living situations can definitely change appetite and behavior - If the changes are dramatic enough or stressors present then it can affect dogs just like people.. After I lost two of my four dogs last year - teh remaining two did have noticeable appetite decrease for the first 2 weeks
Again - you can hold off testing and exams at this point as there has not been any vomiting, diarrhea, or siginificant Weight loss. So don't stress yet about paying for three vet bills :)
Thank you that makes me a lil less uneasy. We are on the same page as far as dealing with the worst one first, and the affects of major change. I will keep an eye out for any other significant issues.
