Customer Question

can she die from ascites and what should I do for the night wouldn't the ascites have shown up during X-rays and ultrasound and would your best guess be heart disease even thought there was a suspicious spot seen on spleen and would spleen be enlarged caused by ingestion of poison? What would be your best guess and why if heart disease would it just show up could it be heart worms but she was tested in march for those supposedly she just looks so uncomfortable and I do not know what to do

Hello again,

Glad to talk things over with you further :

1. Can she die from ascities? : Well some of the diseases which cause the symptom of ascities are very serious so to be blunt deaths are possible, but on the bright side some can be helped.

2. What should I do for the night? : Sorry there is nothing you can do in terms of home remedies so all you can do is to sit things out or see an ER vet if things get worse.

3. It is difficult to say with accuracy what the possible diagnosis will be, the tests should help but consider cancer of the spleen as well as the other conditions I mentioned.

Good luck,

Scott
