How long has this been going on?

Dr. Johnson :

Has she been limping at all? Any vomiting or diarrhea?

Is she still interested in eating?

It only happens at night. She's her usual energetic self during the daytime...eats like a pig too. No change in anything else. I'm starting to wonder if she just wants attention at night since she quiets down when one of us picks her up and holds her.

Dr. Johnson :

If she is totally normal during the day, it is unlikely to be anything medically serious. I wonder if by picking her up and giving her the attention she's wanting, you are conditioning or training her to continue the behavior. She whines because she wants attention, which you give her, which makes her learn that whining equals cuddles!
