My dog ate seed pods from our Goldenrain Tree. He has thrown up but is not feeling real well. The seeds are not listed as poisonous but I assume they mean to humans. Should we take him to the vet or monitor him?

The seed pods are not known to be toxic to dogs but may cause gastrointestinal irritation - hence, Foster's vomiting. (ASPCA/Golden Rain Tree) I would fast Foster for 12 hours but leave water down. If drinking elicits vomiting, please replace the water with ice cubes for him to lick. Avoid giving oral medications - particularly PeptoBismol which contains a salicylate - an aspirin-type drug which can irritate an already irritated gastrointestinal tract. Please respond with further questions or concerns if you wish.
Appreciate your reply. He does seem a little better but not his usual self yet. We'll fast him and see how he is in the morning.
Mahalo.
a'ole pilikia - I expect a rapid recovery. I'll check back with you in the morning for an update.
How's Foster today?
Thank you! My best to Foster.
