iI have a golden ret dog he is about 12 years old he has lost hair on back and under his belly and under neck. it is scally and red and has oder. i have washed with malaseb shampoo and gave nzymes antioxidants treats and benadryl. please help

His symptoms may be indicative of a bacterial or fungal infection, allergies (food or environmental), mange or other parasites, or an autoimmune condition. You may want to consider switching him to a hypoallergenic diet (venison, duck) and make sure he's getting enough benadryl (1mg per pound of body Weight every 8-12 hours).Since it's been going on so long, if you have not done so yet, you should take him to a vet to check for a bacterial infection and/or mites. He may just need a course of oral antibiotics or an anti-parasitic.I hope this helps.
