my son's dog had a growth at the end of his ear. It fell off with minimal bleeding but now the inside of his ear is starting to turn red, his eyes have red in the whites and his gums are very red. He is not in pain, eating, and has a wet nose. We have applied antibotic cream and peroside on the ear.

Hello! Thanks for using JustAnswer.com, I'm Dr. Dan and I'll try to help you.How long ago did the mass fall off? How long have you been using the cream and peroxide? Dr. Dan
The growth fell of this morning around 8 am. He has had the grown for about a week and we kept on putting on the antibotic cream. After it fell off, we cleaned it up and them put the cream on again. Just an hour ago i put on peroside. The area does not hurt him either.
Thanks for the information I suspect since he had the redness after the mass fell off then he is having a mast cell reaction. If this mass was a mast cell tumor then he may experience a lot of redness with no other symptoms very suddenly which may last for many hours. The best thing to do at this point is to give him 1mg of human benedryl per 1lb of body Weight (if he weighs 50lb he gets 50 mg). Give him the benedryl 3x daily until the redness goes away, it should not take long. If he has any more redness lingering on Monday then have him examined by his vet. I hope this helps, best wishes.Dr. Dan
