Hello, I'm Dr. White and I will do my best to answer your questions. If all of the tumor is removed fairly good recovery. If not all removed it will recur. Surgery requires removing the tumor with very wide margins and the entire area that is removed needs to be sent to a pathologist to have the margins examined. If they are clean then the whole tumor was removed. If the margins show mast cells then more skin need to be removed.
