my dog had a abscess on her elbow and it ruptured and vet still had to make a small incision. How long does it take for it to close. She is on antibiotics.

These incisions generally take about a week and a half to heal. The abscess needs to heal from the inside out so the skin adheres to the underlying tissue before the incision closes so the abscess does not recur.
