Hi, thanks for your question. Most spays and neuters are sent home the same day, so that they can be monitored and observed at home overnight, rather than spending the night alone when the clinic is closed. However, some clinics have staff on hand all night, and prefer to monitor patients themselves for the first night after surgery. Most clinics that I work at, will send home a spayed or neutered dog on the same day as the surgery as long as there's no complications noted.
