Dr. Karen :

Hi, I'm going to try to help.

Dr. Karen :

How old is your lab?

Customer :

8 years old he is mix lab/retriever

Dr. Karen :

How long has it been going on? Is the blood from one nostril or both?

Customer :

About two months one nostril.

Dr. Karen :

Unfortunately I think you need to bring him to a vet. There is a chance it could be something like a foreign object - stick, or something he was sniffing that got caught in there and now has an infection. There is also a chance he could have an abscess or localized infection from a bacteria or fungus. But there also a chance he could have a nasal tumor. Sometimes that the most common cause of one-sided intermittent nasal bleeding in adult dogs.

Dr. Karen :

Your vet may want to perform xray or a rhinoscopy (nasal scope). Or he/she may suggest a nasal cat scan (CT).

Customer :

Ok Thank you!
