Can we use super glue to seal up the cracks on our dogs paw

This answer was rated:

Can we use super glue to seal up the cracks on our dog's paw pads? I know that this can be a treatment that works well for people and their cuts. Would this help to speed the healing or is it too dangerous?

This is Dr. Christian. Welcome to JustAnswer. Vaseline is safe and a triple antibiotic ointment may help things heals a little better. The booties are also an excellent idea. Super glue can be used but only on the outer edge of the wound (not down in it) to help seal the cracks until they can heal properly. It can burn when applied however. It might be easier and less painful to apply butterfly bandaids across the cracks if they will stick to the pads. Then covering them with the booties may keep the bandaids on better.
