Can I give my dog Tramadol for arthritic pain

Yes, Tramadol is a medication we use regularly in dogs for many types of pain. I like the anti-inflammatories better for arthritic pain- especially Rimadyl. I'll often add Tramadol on top of the Rimadyl if needed.

If all you have is Tramadol, you can give it at a dose of 1-2.5 mg per lb every 8-12 hours as needed.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.
