Can Doxycycline be used to treat an ear infection in a dog

This answer was rated:

Can Doxycycline be used to treat an ear infection in a dog? If so, how many mg's per pound?

Probably not the best for chronic ear infections, but may be better than nothing. I can't tell you to give any medication to an animal I have not examined, but I can tell you that the dose of doxycycline in the canine is 5 mg per kg every 12 hours. or about 20mg perXXXXX Kevin
