Resolved Question:

My dog just ate four ounces of petroleum jelly. It has a warning on it for children. Should I be concerned?

In direct answer to your question :

1. My experience is that this amount of petroleum jelly would not be toxic to a dog of your one's size. All that is likely to happen here { if anything } is a mild transient gastro-enteritis.

2. However as this has just happened you could opt to recover the petroleum jelly at this point by inducing vomiting. For the sake of speed I will give you a link : LINK

If I have not covered your question fully enough or you would like to ask more I will be online for the next hour or so and I will be at your disposal.
