Hello there,

A 65 pound dog could have 325 mg buffered aspirin every 12-24 hours as needed. it must be given with food or stomach upset can occur. Ascriptin is best if you can find it. It is aspirin coated with Maalox to protect the stomach.

Thank you very much Dr. Scott. we have a bloodhound with very stiff joints due to cold weather and wanted to give her some temporary relief till we see our regular vet on Tuesday.

You are very welcome. Make sure you give it with food and tell your vet the dog has been given it.
