Hi. I'm Dr. Lee and will do my best to help.

Giving human over the counter medication is highly NOT recommended as dogs do not metabolize them well, leading to toxicity very quickly. The best thing to do is to ask your veterinarian for dog specific pain medication such as Rimadyl, Dermaxx, Previcox, and Metacam. All these are ok for dogs. Aside from these, the only other medication to use is a human prescription medication called tramadol. If you have that at home, I can get you a dose. If not, then you need to ask your veterinarian for medications.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks.
