How to treat a centipede bite in a dog <10#?
Hello and welcome to Just Answer

I have a few questions that will help me naswer you

Is your little dog having any symptoms/ill effects from the bite?

How long ago did this happen?

Where was she bitten?

Thanks

Just crying. About 15 minutes ago. On her back leg.
Thanks for the information

Centipede bites can be similar to a bee sting in discomfort. I would apply a small amount of vinegar to the skin at the site where she was bitten. The apply some ice wrapped in a cloth for 10-15 minutes. If you have some benadryl you can give appx 10 mgs. Which is just less than half of a full 25mg capsule. It is a powder so it can be difficult to split, you can add a bit to some peanut butter to get her to eat it. If you have some liquid benadryl that is even easier. The benadryl is not a must, but might help reduce some inflammation.

Although I would not expect it, if she starts vomiting a lot, develops severe diarrhea, or seems to get really ill, she should probably bee seen by your vet.

I hope this helps
