Is my 10 year old Lab too old to have puppies

Ten years is not too old for a lab to have puppies. In fact, the AKC will register puppies from a bitch up to 12 years of age. If there have been no signs of heat before or after she ran off and they were only gone for a night, the chances of her being pregnant are slim. If she is pregnant, I would not expect there to be any big problems with whelping. If you are very concerned, you can have her tested for pregnancy in about 3-4 weeks.
