Hi. Thanks for the info.

How long have we been on the kennel cough medication? And what is the name of the medication? Thanks.

Hi. Thanks for the update.

Kennel cough does not usually require such a long antibiotic treatment. Usually within 2 weeks. What I am more concerned about is whether we also have pneumonia going on, as an extension of the kennel cough. Or perhaps the Primex is not working, thus need to change antibiotic. Other possibilities include tumors and fungal infections. I would suggest to go to your veterinarian for another exam and take x-rays of chest to make sure the lungs look fine. If normal, then I would suggest to change antibiotic to either Doxycycline or Clavamox.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks.
