Hi,

Did you mean Coonhound Paralysis?

I don't know. Just had a friend suggest my dog may have "coon fever". She's 13, and last week started having trouble getting up and walking. This week she can barely walk, walks to the right and won't eat. A vet prescribed some anitbiotics and steroids. She has been taking them 2 days and is the same or possibly worse.

Yes...they were likely referring to Coonhound Paralysis. I am attaching a client information handout that I use in my practice that discusses this problem. I hope that you find it useful.

Thank you, XXXXX XXXXX least gives me some hope. All my vet said is that she probably had either a brain tumor or a stroke.
