My co2 level is 16. I don't know what to do about it. and why?

If it was just a rouitne lab result and everything else was normal. I would not be worried about it. Your CO2 is low is is usually beause your what we call acidic. The could be because your blood sugar is out of control, there is something wrong with your breathing or there is something wrong with your kidneys. If evenyone had there blood drawn I would suspect on routine labs almost everyone would have one leval that is a little bit outside the norm. The low end of normal is 19. Its not like you are off that much. I really would not be too concerned about it. Unless there is a piece of inforation I am missing. Dan RN
