How long does it take for the light to come back on after codes are cleared.

Customer: replied 10 days ago.
They came back right away

Ok, If it is a leak in the gastank it should not come right away. There is a chance that the codes are still present in the Keep alive memory even after clearing them from regular memory. To clear the keep alive memory you will need a compatible scan tool. Or you can try to disconnect both battery terminals and connect them together for 30 minutes. That usually clears the keep alive memory too. Make sure to cover the battery posts so that it accidently does not touch the terminals.
