I have a 2015 dodge journey. I am having problems with the transmission shifter. It has that keyless start. It will not start and the dash shows that its in reverse. I manually moved the transmission shifter, but only reverse and drive appear in the dash. It has the 2.4 engine.
JA: Have you checked the fob's battery?
Customer: yes the locks and windows work.
JA: Are you fixing your Journey yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: checked the fuses they are ok
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

hey how are you

1- is this the first time this happens

2- did you check the battery has 12 volts

3- you need a diagnostics scan & retrieve fault codes to narrow down

but for now lets try this

Master reset Procedure

1- Disconect Battery Cables ( Negative & Positive Cables )you can use any electrical wire as an extension if battery cables don't reach .

2- Hold cables Together for 60 secs ,then let go

3- Wait 15 minutes

4- Make sure all doors are closed

5- Reconnect battery Cables

6- Lock & unlock the vehicles using the key from driver door side (if you have a key fob with no blade key, just lock & unlock using the key fob buttons)

7- Enter the vehicle and attempt to start

Please let me know

Thank You
