my 2002 dodge dakota keep stalling it run then stops it feel like it wants to turn over but does'nt it happens when i am driving it ,, like it gets hot and quits
JA: Is the check engine light on? Does the car stall at idle or when driving?
Customer: engine lite goes on and off and it stalls while driving
JA: Are you fixing your Dakota yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: i had a mechanic try he replace starter coil and electronic coil
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

The problem can be a loss of spark or fuel. You can check for
spark at the plugs with a spark tester.
You can check fuel pressure with a gauge and both of these tools
should be available to you at your
local parts store for rent or purchase.
You need to check for any stored codes in the computer with a
code reader or a scan tool.
The code reader only gives the codes and definitions, where the
scan tool gives you all
the needed data to diagnose the codes.
