I just purchased a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 and while driving it

Customer Question

hi, I just purchased a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 and while driving it home the "Service tire pressure system" came on, the tires were not reading any pressure at all I took it back and it was reprogrammed It worked for one day, but then the message came on again today
JA: Is the tire cold or warm? And are you using a decent pressure guage for the reading?
Customer: the tries are warm, i tried 3 different tire guages to be sure
JA: Are you fixing your Ram 1500 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: well , first i took it back to the dealership and they reprogrammed the sensor themselves, it lasted exactly one day
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: i have all the tires filledm to the reccomended 39 psi

Welcome, I'm Chris (aka Moose), my normal schedule online is around lunch and after dinner till early morning.

I believe in your case further diagnostics will find that the RF-HUB, that transmits the tire pressure readings to the module, is faulty.

What now

  1. You have asked a question.
  2. You have paid a deposit and received an info request and or answer(s).
  3. Now it is time to follow up if needed or rate my answer, hopefully 5 STAR EXCELLENT. Sometimes the rating fails, responding with (I am a pleased) will suffice.

Hello again Chris here,

  • Sorry you were not pleased with my help.
  • What would you like to do regarding your question now.
  • This post is coming up on the 7 day mark where it times out. When a post times out, that means it's no longer on my active list (you reply and I may never know it.)

Thanks Chris
