Customer Question

How can I quiet the lifters in my 3.8 liter 2006 caravan ? I have 165 to K miles on it.
JA: Are you fixing your Caravan yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I changed the oil to manufactures specs and added dura lube engine treatment but it made no difference.
JA: When was your last oil change?
Customer: One week ago.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: I have driven about 400 miles since I changed the oil.

Good morning and welcome to JustAnswer!!

My name is ***** ***** I have worked for a Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep dealership for 19 years and I will do my best to help.

Is it just one lifter or are all of them chattering? If you measure your oil pressure with a manual gauge what is it @ idle? When did this start?
