How do I check my air conditioner that is not blowing cold

Customer Question

How do I check my air conditioner that is not blowing cold air? Do cars still use coolant?
JA: Do the vents feel cold? Is there a coolant leak?
Customer: The vents are not cold. I am not sure about coolant leak. How do I check that?
JA: What is the model/year of your Dodge?
Customer: 2004 Dodge Neon.
JA: Are you fixing your Neon yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I would like to fix it myself. I have not tried anything so far. I did have the power steering belt replaced and the mechanic said the belt was also used for the air conditioning system.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No

Sorry about the delay. Ok you can check the basics, check the A/C drive belt if itts tight and in good shape, when you have the engine running and A/C switch on check to see if the compressor clutch is turning, not just the pulley.Let me know what you find to that point.
