Passenger side battery was COOKING when I got to work.

Customer Question

Passenger side battery was COOKING when I got to work .
JA: Have you tested the battery with a voltmeter? And can you see if it's leaking or not?
Customer: Boiling over, heavily venting, noticed the Guage was at the left side of normal operating range .
JA: What is the model/year of your Dodge?
Customer: 06 3500
JA: Are you fixing your 3500 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Just got to work and could smell it.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: I will be fixing it. I recall some issue with possible imperfect battery cconnection?
