Not charging. Wondering if it's the fusible link (140 amp)

Customer Question

Not charging. Wondering if it's the fusible link (140 amp) to alternator but I haven't got a sniff where it is to check.
JA: Have you checked all the fuses? Do you have a wiring diagram?
Customer: 2008 6.7 diesel ram
JA: What year is your Ram?
Customer: Sorry, yes. Che ked them all.
JA: Are you fixing your Ram yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes. Had it checked at parts store where they told me everything was working but it's not charging. My check gages light is on and my voltage gage is sitting at the left side around 12. Definitely not at 14.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Both batteries are brand new.

Hello my name is***** am an ASE Master Technician and I am glad to help you with your question.

Check for voltage at the alternator wire. Use a test light or volt meter you should have battery voltage here. If you do the fusible link is good.

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
Alright. I'll check. Will be a few moments.

Do you have a wiring diagram of the charging circuit?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
Can find one. Give me a minute on this end.

Ok.

I checked the voltage on the wire coming off alternator up to positive post on passenger side. Nothing. If I measure from positive post to ground I get 12.

Am I looking at a new alternator or is the fusible link worth checking? I just don't know where it is.
Expert:  Dan replied 1 month ago.

I can send you a wiring diagram of the charging circuit if you would like.
