My rear brakes won't release
JA: How many miles are on the car? Are these the orignial brakes?
Customer: No I had them replaced last year. The truck has about 216000 miles
JA: What is the model/year of your Dodge?
Customer: 2005 2500 cumins
JA: Are you fixing your 2500 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I loaded a car on a trailer and went to pull away but the truck won't go forward or backward
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

The problem could be quite a few things including the calipers, hoses, possibly a master cylinder issue, but the most common cause of rear brake drag on these is the pads hanging up in their slides.

It's also possible that the problem could be a broken emergency brake shoe.

Is the problem intermittent or are the wheels still locked now?
