My dodge won't pass 2500 rpm. I replaced some hoses that were ripped. It work for 2 days, no problem and now won't changed gears
JA: How old is the transmission? Have you checked the brake switch?
Customer: 2004.
JA: What is the model of your '04 Dodge?

JA: Are you fixing your Ram 1500 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: No, I only fixed what I was able to. A hose behind the spark plug that's connected to the engine from the air filter.

Are you saying the engine won't rev past 2,500 RPM's? Have you dropped the exhaust to see if the converter is clogged? When did this start and what codes are setting?

If I go really slow it changes gears fine.
It won't rev pass 2500rpm, feels like there's no power when I step on the gas.
It started 4 weeks ago.
I haven't ran it through the scanner yet.

Thanks for the reply!!

I would start by dropping the exhaust at the manifolds because honestly it sounds like your converter is clogged and if you have been hearing a rattle in your exhaust then it has come apart and is clogging the exhaust up.. Rev it up and see how much comes out tailpipe..
