Customer Question

hi, my 2002 dakota driver side headlamp does not come on. high beams are ok. and filament is ok because daytime running lamps are ok. just the left lowbeam is out when i turm on the headlamp switch.
JA: Have you checked the bulbs and fuses?
Customer: no headlamp fuse for the 2002 dodge apparently. and bulbs are fine as the daytime running lights are fine
JA: Are you fixing your Dakota yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: checked the fuse box and checked that the lamps are good
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: not that i can think of

Thank you for that information.

Have you checked for power to the bulb with the lights turned on?

If not, this is your next step. It is the purple wire (or the purple wire with white stripe) from the central timer module that powers up this circuit. You could have a bad wire between the central timer module to the bulb or the central timer module itself might just be bad.
