Customer Question

I think I have a screwy TIPM in a 2004.5 Ram 3500.
JA: Are you fixing your Ram yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: The biggest headache is the right low beam will not come on, there is voltage at the headlight plug but no light on low beam. The a/c works intermittently.
JA: Have you checked the bulbs? Have you checked the fuses?
Customer: Alll of that. I even change bulbs and fuses to be sure.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: It is a diesel 325 hp. with a 6 speed standard transmission.

Hello, my name is***** is almost always caused by the TIPM. I usually need to install a scan tool to retrieve the codes from the TIPM. Some of the time it is a circuit issue causing the TIPM to think that there is an electrical short and then it acts this way. If there are codes I would clear then the reset the module. If that does not work then the TIPM needs to be replaced. Please let me know if you need more help.
