last month I changed the spark plugs and it ran fine with the cheaper battery that was in it, this month I put in a new battery according to specs but now it back fires what can I do?

Customer: 1992,3.9 engine

Hello, my name is***** has probably happened is when you disconnected the old battery, you erased the adaptive fuel memory in the engine computer (PCM). The computer now needs to relearn and adapt itself. It may take a few miles, but it should eventually clear up.
