Hello and thanks for your question. My name is ***** ***** I will do all I can to help.
When you turn the key on, the instrument cluster lights up like it should, the headlights are bright as usual? Just want to make sure there is good battery voltage available. Any other odd electrical symptoms happening besides the no crank? thanks.
And what make is this 2500? and model. thank you.
I follow you, When you just turn the key on, Do you see a flashing red light? any security lights on with key on? Did the alarm go off recently?
Alright, I'm pulling the starting system wiring diagram now.
Alright, here is the diagram, you see fuse J 17 up top there. its in the fuse box under the hood, can you check that one for me?
Or, if you have a 12 volt test light, the small wire that is the YELLOW/GRAY wire that goes to the starter motor, it should be HOT with the key in START position.
If you don't have a test light, I have gotten somebody inside before, have them HOLD the key in START position, and then smack the starter motor with a hammer a few times. Sometimes if the starters jammed up, it will free it up to crank.
Is that box labelled to where you can see which relay is the starter relay, it's in position K5 fyi. I'd like to swap it with another one.
I'm sorry it's K3. not K5. Swap k5 with K11. Refer to this diagram.
I mean it's K3, not K5, I'm sorry, swap K3 with K11. and then try it. forget about K5.
Alright, do you have a volt meter or 12 volt test light by chance?
I understand completely, It's got 5/100K powertrain warranty still left or you've got over 100K on it?
Try a spare key as well if you have it.
If there is any warranty left on it, you can try 1-***-***-**** Chrsyler 24 hour roadside assistance. Give them the VIN and see if it has coverage. Best of luck . Thanks.
