Greetings...... “Hi, I’m Don (aka MOLurch) and I look forward to helping you!”
There is a Cable that goes from the Steering Column to the Transmission
You need to remove the Lower Dash Panel & insect the Shifter & Cable to be sure the Cable is not loose, broken or disconnected at the Transmission
Here is Dodge Service Manual procedures to replace the Cable, but should give you some insight as to what to look for
