JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact code? And have you tried to reset it?
Customer: P0882 is exact code. TCM low input
JA: What is the model/year of your Dodge?
Customer: 2006 dodge stratus sxt 2.7 liter v6
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Just ran scan and codes came up... no CEL/MIL . Just purchased it used and wanted to see if there were any issues.
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: Lag in downshift coming to a stop... barely noticeable but happening all the same. Is the PCM and TCM separate units or integrated?

Hi there.

Although PCM and TCM are integrated, the transmission part of the PCM has its own specific power and ground circuits so, first thing to do when this type of code sets is check the connectors for any issues with dirt, contamination or loose pins that may affect circuit continuity. If PCM connectors check out OK, check power supply at the relay located in the under-the-hood fuse/relay box - see attached graphic.
