Hello and welcome to Justanswer!

There are several things that can prevent starter engagement. The problem could be the transmission range sensor, the plastic guide on the valve body that the range sensor contacts, it could be the starter relay, wiring, cables and connections, the starter itself.

Have fuses been checked?
