Customer Question

JA: No. I'm the Dodge Mechanic's Assistant.
Customer: OK, I have a 2005 Dodge Durango. When I got it it did not run.I pulled some codes with a MAC ET1505AN. I came up with p0068, p2074, p0058 and p0700.
JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact code? And have you tried to reset it?
Customer: I cleared all the codes, wiped off the sensor coming from the air intake, opened the butterfly and got it running. it won't stay started, but it will if I keep my foot on the accelerator.
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes, I would like to fix it myself.
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: Later, I cleared all the codes. I then got codes for lean bank one and rich bank one.

are you there

Yes I am here. Ok. You more than likely need an idle air control valve.

It is a motor that controls the air flow past the throttle body at idle. It controls idle. And usually when you can keep it running with the acclerator, then the IAC is faulty.
