(Posted by JustAnswer at customer's request) Hello. I would like to request the following Expert Service(s) from you: Live Phone Call. Let me know if you need more information, or send me the service offer(s) so we can proceed.
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Yes it is full mechanical and so is the shut off.
Expert:  Daniel Wilson replied 8 months ago.
Thanks for the update. so will it not go above idle or is it stalling, misfiring? Please give more details
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
When it is cold it performs normal. After a few minutes of running at about 2000 rpms it starts losing rpms. The longer it runs the lower it goes down to an idle. From start up to idle takes 15 to 20 minutes.

Are you there?
Expert:  Daniel Wilson replied 8 months ago.
Phone calls are an additional service that is offered at an additional cost. I sent over the link if you are interested
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Okay, I will just stay here then.
Expert:  Daniel Wilson replied 8 months ago.
I might have to opt out and pass this on to someone if you need immediate help. I log in in between jobs as I am able and need to finish up a job. But if you have good fuel supply pressure and the transfer pump is good supplying the injection pump and no leaks sucking air and no restrictions...... The fuel shut off is working but you have weak fuel delivery it is a faulty injection pump if you have no throttle control
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
We have tried three injection pumps already. That is not it.
Expert:  Daniel Wilson replied 8 months ago.
Whats the full model from the engine tag? and serial number if you have it?
Expert:  Daniel Wilson replied 8 months ago.
Do you have the pump info by chance?
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Do not have it in front of me. I am a mechanic and added an inline electric pump and new injectors.Filters and the whole nine yards. I am just stumped on this.
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
I am at home so I cant give you the tag info. It is full mechanical with no electronics at all.
Expert:  Daniel Wilson replied 8 months ago.
What is this in for a chassis?
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Excavator
Expert:  Daniel Wilson replied 8 months ago.
This posted in the dodge section.... What is the make and model of the machine with dashes?
Expert:  Daniel Wilson replied 8 months ago.
Do you have the electric stepper motor that controls the throttle on the injection pump? and if so with all that disconnected can you manually control the throttle?
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
2000 Hundai 200 lc excavator. It is a 92 with a 5.9 cummins.
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
No to the electric stepper section. All manually controlled . No electronics.
Expert:  Daniel Wilson replied 8 months ago.
the fuel shutoff is open for fuel, you should see smoke while cranking and fuel spray rather than a trickle.... ?
Expert:  Daniel Wilson replied 8 months ago.
With the injector lines cracked
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Good spray. One injection pump tested okay.
Expert:  Daniel Wilson replied 8 months ago.
Was this immediately after installing this engine? The suction and return lines swapped possibly? Will it dun from a separate container?
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Tried separate fuel source right to the injector pump. This happened out of the blue after years of good service.
Expert:  Daniel Wilson replied 8 months ago.
Any throttle response at all? act like the engine is under a load? any color smoke? Misfire?
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Throttle response for a few seconds maybe thirty. engine doesn't have a load. No smoke no misfire. Smooth and steady.
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Do you have any other idea of what it could be?
Expert:  Daniel Wilson replied 8 months ago.
Is something wrong with the pump drive?
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
No
Expert:  Daniel Wilson replied 8 months ago.
Otherwise it makes no sense. The injection pump is my thought and can see your frustration. Im out of ideas. Ill opt out in case someone might have some other suggestions
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
okay
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Do you think the turbo could be the problem even though it spins freely and has no signs of wear?
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Since I didn't get an answer do I still pay for this?
