Customer Question

Hi im ***** ***** i have a 98 ram i had a remote starter put in back in nov and weds last week my parking lights stopped work, so i found the 15 amp fuse inside the truck and the fuse was blown so i replaced it with other one and turned on the parking lights amd seen the fuse blown again
JA: Thanks. Can you give me any more details about your issue?
Customer: So today i took it back to the people who put the remote starter in and they checked all wiring for the remote starter plus they checked my headlights and tail lights and couldnt find out why the fuse keeps blowing

The fuse in the cab of the truck is the parking lamp fuse which is number 1 its a 15 amp
Expert:  Amedee replied 8 months ago.

Gotcha! Fuse number 1.. 15 amp fuse. Sorry.. I read it wrong..

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Every time i pull the light switch for parkimg lifhts the fuse blows
Expert:  Amedee replied 8 months ago.

Ok.. lets do this. Pull the fog lamp relay and turn the light switch on and see if the fuse still blows. Let me know!

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Which one is that is that in the cab or under the hood
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
i dont have any fog lights hooked up

That would be in the PDC center under the hood.

Im out of 15 amp fuses can i use a 20 amp or a 10 amp
Expert:  Amedee replied 8 months ago.

I would only use a 10 amp in place of the 15 amp

Expert:  Amedee replied 8 months ago.

Ok, good. Lets try this. Diaconnect the radio connector from the radio and see if that does the trick. Let me know!
