Customer Question

5.7L Hemi, Dodge 2016, Big Horn Ram truck 4x4: check engine light on and flashing while driving - could this be the result of using ethanol (87 octane) in gasoline? Thanks!

Good evening and welcome to JustAnswer!!

My name is ***** ***** I have worked for a Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep dealership for 18 years and I will do my best to help.

If the check engine light is flashing then the engine is misfiring so bad your damaging the converters and I would not run it like that... You will need to see what codes it has and if you got bad gas then you will need to take a fuel sample... Once you get the codes post them here so I can see what's going on..

Brad
