Hello my name is Scott

If the fuse doesn't blow but melts the fuse holder, there is resistance to current flow at the fuse holder itself. This added resistance acts like a resistor or light bulb, they give off heat. This heat is what causes the melting of the fuse holder. The repair is to either replace the fuse panel or cut the wires out and install a stand alone fuse holder.

You may have to install a stand alone fuse holder because you may not be able to find a replacement fuse panel as they may be discontinued.
